1st Battalion Daily Routine

Daily Routine.

a.          The Regimental Flag. Is to be raised at Reveille and lowered at Retreat, including on non working days. This is also to happen when the Battalion is temporally deployed in another barracks or base camp. It is only to be brought to the half mast position in accordance with QRs (Queen's Reulations).

b.          Muster Parade. When the Battalion is in barracks and the working programme permits, it is to be normal for the Battalion to muster by companies as the first parade of the day. Officers are to fall-in and inspect their soldiers under the orders of company commanders.

c.          Ships Time. The Provost Sgt, or Guard Comd in non working hours, is to ensure that time is struck on the ships bell in accordance with Annex A.

d.          Retreat. When Retreat is being sounded all movement in the barracks is to cease. Personnel in the open are to stand to attention facing in the direction of the Regimental Flag. Those in vehicles are to sit still. Nobody is to salute. When the Duty Drummer is mounted and Retreat is not sounded, movement in the vicinity of the Regimental Flag is to cease whilst it is being lowered.

e.          Staff Parade. Staff Parade is to be held at 2200 hrs local time daily. Whilst the parade is on no movement through the gates or in the area of the Guard Room is permitted. While last post is being sounded the same procedure is to be followed in the barracks as during the sounding of Retreat.
